Philosophy

My approach to mental health treatment incorporates mental, physical, social, and spiritual wellness among other elements. I am persuaded that the context in which we live our lives and the way in which we interact with the world around us impacts our perspective on well being and our efforts in maintaining good health. I, therefore encourage clients to embrace their spirituality, strengthen positive elements in their social interactions, adapt a positive perspective on life, explore their emotions, and take charge of their health and well being.

My treatment approach involves an invitation to clients to a collaborative partnership in order to address the issues that they present to therapy. This is a strength-based approach that enables clients to discover their potential and abilities to overcome obstacles that slow them down. As a result, clients are able to take control of their health and participate in bringing change in their lives. I believe that within each individual is the capacity to overcome difficulty and prevail over challenging life circumstances. I am committed to helping you take charge of your health and empower you to improve the quality of your life!
